Scored by Bappi Lahiri, the songs are energetic and impactful. Two-and-a-half decades later, the film's second installment fails to mirror the same. With just two songs, lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and composer trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy put forward their most average work. The first song 'Lapak Jhapak', sung by Armaan Malik, Siddharth Mahadevan and Yashita Sharma, is a youthful number about college-goers. The composition is rather run-of-the-mill, though peppered with quirky lyrics. For the next song 'Khuda Hai Tere Andar', the composers get Arijit Singh to croon a soft rock ballad.
Catchy songs and superlative singing on this one. Album: Hate Story 3 Composer: Amaal Mallik, Baman Music: T-Series Price: Rs 175 Rating: 4 Bollywood: The latest installment of the Hate Story franchise of erotic thrillers has some sensual tunes by composers Amaal Mallik, Meet Bros and Baman with lyricists Rashmi Virag, Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir and Shabbir Ahmed delivering some erotica and romance. Nadeem-Shravan fans will rejoice at the recreation of 'Tumhe apna banane ki kasam khayi hai' from 1990s film Sadak. Album opener 'Tumhe apna banane ka' by Amaal Mallik is rewritten by Rashmi Virag. It appeals more to today's youth and is sensual to boot. The voices of Armaan Malik and Neeti Mohan are steamy enough.

Album: Rhythm Music: Zee Music Ratings: 3 Price: Rs. 175 Bollywood: 'Rhythm' is a romantic musical, that is set in an international university in Poland and revolves around a bunch of college youngsters. The love story at the heart of it is the driving force for the music in the movie. With ensemble composers bringing their best to the table, director Vivek Kumar uses his judgement to create a rather neat album. There is evidently a greater emphasis on melody, even though the album is rooted in rock. For those of us who are familiar with 'Junoon's' brand of 'sufi'rock, the band makes a much awaited comeback with this album.

For those of us who are familiar with 'Junoon's' brand of 'sufi'rock, the band makes a much awaited comeback with this album. Their music is not quite like you remember, from their prime but their earnestness is able to lure you. The soundtrack opens with Punjabi rock song 'Do You Wanna Dance With Me' sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Suresh Peters.
